Frames
Our experienced group of opticians and optometric assistants are always ready to help. For over 50 years they’ve paired the residents of Greater Sudbury and beyond with individualized frames and lenses. They’ll make recommendations not only to fit your facial features, but to also maximize your vision based on your prescription. From myopia to hyperopia, astigmatism to presbyopia, anti-fatigue to custom progressives, they will find the frame and lenses to fit your needs.

We offer a variety of price-points from our value board, which bundles frame and lenses as a cost-effective option, to fashion-forward Designer brands, such as Ray-Ban, Gucci, Tom Ford and many more (find the complete list below).
Glasses Lenses
We proudly carry Hoya lenses. Their ever-evolving technologies and coatings make Hoya our favourite company for high-performance lenses. Beyond premium daily-wear glasses, we can also provide specialty options like prescription polarized sunglasses, safety glasses, Rx swim goggles, and MiYOSMART myopia control lenses.
Contact Lenses
When it comes to the world of contact lenses, we have plenty of options to meet your visual and eye health needs. We work with Alcon, Johnson & Johnson, CooperVision, and Bausch and Lomb so we have all of the newest dailies and monthlies on the market. Another option in the world of myopia control is the MiSight contact lenses that will be discussed with your optometrist when reviewing treatment options for your child’s progressing myopia.
Ocular Health
For any of your ocular health needs, come visit one of our optometrists. They can review what is necessary to maintain your proper ocular health and optimal vision.
Dry Eye Disease
Due to abundant screen time and our northern climate, dry eye is a daily occurrence for many patients. This common condition can give you ocular surface symptoms such as: watering, itching, redness, burning or grittiness, and may also cause blurry or fluctuating vision, light sensitivity and tired eyes. For a variety of different ocular surface issues, Family Vision Centre has the necessary high-quality products to target your needs.
We carry preservative-free drops from iMed Pharma that present with viscoadaptive technology to match our natural blink and provide us with daily comfort. We also have an excellent preservative-free drop from Thea, Thealoz Duo, that gives us an option for improved corneal protection and anti-inflammatory properties. This unique drop uses a natural sugar, Trehalose, as its active ingredient.
It may not be commonly known, humans have many microscopic organisms living on our lids, like bacteria and microscopic mites. In most cases, they do not pose any problems. Over time however, they can start causing issues that affect our lid health and skin balance, impacting the proper function of our natural oil glands. For these issues, Family Vision Centre has your needs covered with two different warm compress mask options: the Therapearl and Bruder masks. Our four different options for at-home lid treatment include Blephaclean, iLidnLash, iLidnLash+, and HoCL cleansing spray. These products help maintain the lid and lashes proper hygiene, similar to how we are recommended to brush our teeth twice daily to maintain proper oral hygiene. If it’s the skin of your lids bringing you discomfort, like itching, cracking, redness or irritation, we have the newly approved lid cream from Thea, BlephaDerm to help bring calm any lid reaction. Your optometrist will assess your ocular surface and recommend a personalized treatment that will target your findings, symptoms and needs.

Supplements
Your retina is a crucial structure that needs to be healthy to provide good sight. Your optometrist will thoroughly review this part of your eye at your routine eye exam. When it comes to patients with macular degeneration or a strong family of the disease, nutrition is key in maintaining the proper health of your retina. We have the options on hand that are clinically proven to slow potential retinal changes. Please talk to your optometrists for more details on supplements for ocular health.
